Electro-pop act Bright Light Bright Light will perform at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on Friday, July 7. Also on the bill, which is set to kick off at 9 p.m., is special guest Ariana and the Rose.
Bright Light Bright Light, the stage name of Welsh singer-songwriter, producer, and DJ Rod Thomas, is promoting third studio long-player, Choreography. The album, released in July 2016 via MRI, landed at No. 12 on the Billboard Dance / Electronic Albums chart. In addition to the single “All In The Name,” the album features guest appearances from Elton John, Alan Cumming, and Scissor Sisters.
Make Me Believe in Hope, Bright Light Bright Light’s debut album, emerged in June 2012 via Self Raising Records. The album was anchored by singles “Love, Pt. 2” and “Disco Moment.”
The album’s follow-up, Life is Easy, which was released in July 2014, was preceded by the single “I Believe.”
Also on the bill is New York native Ariana and the Rose, who is supporting her recently released EP, Retrograde. The four-track synth-pop EP, which was self-released back in March, features the track “Love You Lately,” a collaboration with electro-R&B duo RKCB. She recorded the EP at Avatar studios with producer David Kahne, who previously worked with the likes of New Order and Lana Del Rey.
Tickets ($18 in advance, $20 day of show) are available here at AXS.com. Present your ticket stub at the merch booth to redeem a free CD EP. Doors open at 8 p.m. for the 18 & over event. Music Hall of Williamsburg is located at 66 North 6th Street in Brooklyn, New York. For more information, visit Bright Light Bright Light’s website and Music Hall of Williamsburg’s website.
